Wade had it in D.C. with him. Seriously. While he was gone I did NO scrapping. None. Sad, I know. It was the strangest thing, though. About an hour before I was going to leave to pick him up at the airport, inspiration struck! It’s like I could *feel* the mojo getting closer and closer to me. *heehee* So, I started working on my layout of the week for my journaling challenge. (I’ll share at the end of this post.)
Our fun for the weekend?? We took the boys to Six Flags today! Totally fun. Of course they all rode every ride in the kiddie section. They love that place! Tyler and Avery are tall enough to ride a few of the bigger rides, too. (Some they had to ride with an adult, and some they would have been able to ride without.) Avery and Tyler both rode on the Sea Dragon (like a Jolly Roger boat/swing ride), Tea Cups, BatWing (a high up in the sky, flying around in circles ride) and the Tilt-a-Whirl. AND!!! Tyler rode his very first *grown-up* roller coaster!!! The big wooden coaster here in Denver is called Twister II, and he LOVED it!! He almost cried when he realized it was over…he wanted to go AGAIN! That’s my boy… *grin* When these boys get older, they are going to be my roller coaster buddies!
Alright…it’s getting late here. Tyler has his Allergy/Asthma appointment tomorrow. I’ll give you all an update tomorrow night.
Oh yeah…the layout….
love the LO.
and the roller coaster thing…My family and our friends went to Disney when I was in 4th grade. I rode Space Mountain and hated it, wouldn’t get on a roller coaster again. Then my senior year of hs I was back at Disney with classmates for a robotics competion (something I definatly need to scrap because those stories are too crazy to believe) and I was forced to go on the Rockin’ Roller Coaster. Let’s jsut say I love most coasters now. I prefer upside down to big hills and steel to wood.
I love this layout! So cool that you painted around the edges of the star and journaled on the paint!
