The weekend was fabulous! I got both my flash and my diffuser on Friday just after lunch. And by the time we left to pick up Tyler at 2, Avery was already tired of me taking his picture. LOL!! There is still so much that I have to learn, but I am making progress.
Sunday we had Avery’s birthday party…finally! The Butterfly Pavilion is an amazing place to have a birthday party. They were so accommodating and the zookeeper presentation was worth the price of the whole party. He was really great with grabbing the kids’ attention and getting them to participate. Of course the highlight of the whole trip was getting to hold Rosie. Rosie is the resident tarantula. Actually, there are many ‘Rosies’ living at the pavilion and they rotate them throughout the day. The kids LOVE to hold Rosie. The zookeeper places the spider on your hands and then tells you to smile for your mommy behind the camera. heehee. So, can you guess what today’s pictures are?? If you have any bit of arachnophobia, please do not scroll down. You have been warned….
Here is my birthday boy…
Tyler really does love holding Rosie…it’s that darn GQ posing thing he has going on. I wish I could catch a smile every once in a while…
And the happiest boy of all…
First those pictures are amazing! So crisp and clear. and second your boys are nuts. you could never get me to hold one of those things. 🙂
Heather,
They are braver guys than I!!!
Avery’s expression is like, “Mommy, don’t you want to hold Rosie?”
Tyler’s expression is either “NO FEAR” or “Tarantula-the NEW accessory.” (Madonna will have one next)
And Benji, he’s being transformed from “SUPERMAN” to “SPIDERMAN.”
Great pics!!!
I love keeping up with it all through the photos, until we get to see the real thing, soon!
Love always,
Dad
Heather,
Terrific pics!
I can just envision them
on a scrpbook page one day.
Love,
Grandpa
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! Yes, I’m seriously arachnophobic and scrolled before I read your warning. EW EW EW EW!
I would never be able to do that. I just want to say I really love those cheeks (Benji’s Cheeks). I can’t wait to see the pics of him and Madison (especially if you can get Madison to smile like that without closing her eyes) Love you all,
Holly
I could tell, Avery “Bug”, was in his element! Why did you let my sweet baby boy, hold that icky spider!?!? Of course, Tyler loves all things nature! Can’t wait to see ya’ll! Coming in when, Thursday? Love you all. Nana
