And it went very well! All of the boys were excited. Not a chest pain in the bunch. (Unless you count mommy’s heart breaking…) *wink*
The boys posing in the backyard…
The obligatory backpack shot…
The fourth grader…
The first grader…
The kindergartener…
We dropped Avery off at his class first. He was *so* happy to see his friends again!
Tyler was next…I didn’t go into the room with him. He’s too *cool* for that. I didn’t even get a kiss goodbye. Can you just hear the heartbreak??
Our final stop…Benji’s classroom. Trying to find a place to hang his backpack…
He quickly found an open seat…
He kissed me and hugged me and started playing. This is the shot I got from the door. *sniff, sniff*
When I picked him up he told me that he had made a new friend named Shelby. I am so happy for him and proud of him. The last pic is of a huge dragonfly we saw on the side of the school as we were leaving. Too high for me to get a great shot, but still pretty cool.
While all three were at school this morning, my ducky friend and I went out for some Starbucks and a little girly time at the nail salon. A fresh manicure and pedicure does wonders for a girl. *wink*
A mani/pedi! That sounds like a great idea for my day off tomorrow. Thanks!
And I’m glad the first day went off without a hitch.
I am so glad! Yeah for them, yeah for you!
Heather,
A great lookin’ bunch of guys. I’m glad all went well I know it was a “nailbiter”. Sorry for the manicure pun.
Love always,
Dad
Where have the years gone? The boys looks wonderful! I remember walking Scott to school (3rd grade) and as we approached the school he let go of my hand and told me not to kiss him good bye. LOL. And, that was over 20 years ago!!!!
oh you got waaaay better pics than me! My second grader basically told me to hit the road once we got to the school – sniff!
SO happy to hear it went smoothly – whew! the pics are great, LOVE the backpacks! HUGE hugs, rachel
So glad it went well! They all look so happy! Yay for mani/pedi time!
Phew! what a relief that all went well and you made the most of your alone time.
