I thought I would do a little update post tonight.
I’ve been working a little more on my fall carousel horse. To remind you this is what it looked like last time I posted it…
and how it looks now… (I may actually get to hang it up this fall!)
Tyler’s braces and expander are working! It was amazing to look back at this picture and compare it to how his teeth look now. This was in February when he got his braces on…
And tonight… His front teeth are almost even with each other now! (sorry about the yellow glow…bad lighting, bleh)
And the reason I am completely exhausted tonight… We started our new flower bed today. Two weeks ago Wade sprayed the grass in the area with grass and weed killer to make it easier for us to clear it out. We went to Lowe’s this morning to get some organic soil mix and the pavers to edge the bed. We came back home and started hacking at the grass. (Did I mention that the bed is almost 100 square feet?? 25 ft long and 4 feet deep. Wade and I are both in agony!) In almost four hours we had the grass removed, the soil amended and tilled, and the pavers placed. Here is the backyard before…
and after…
We just couldn’t get anything planted today. We are both exhausted and sore and drugged up with ibuprofen and vegging on the couch. Hopefully by next weekend we’ll have a little more to show you all. Hope you all have a great Monday!
Wow, can you guys come over here and do that?:)
Nice work on your horse, so excited to see it up!
I’m exhausted just READING about that garden. I need a nap.
Whoa! I am impressed! Impressed by your cross-stitching skills and progress, the power of braces, and the amount of work you are putting into your yard! Go you!
tell tyler I love his hair. good work on the garden, chica. hey I have another vehicle for sale, need a ’77 bronco lifted on 38s?
LOVE the garden, way to go you two!!! don’t worry, it will be so worth it. let me know if you need any help getting things in.
Come to my house next?? lol Looks like a great start, I can’t wait to see it filled in. 🙂
