Decompression.

That was the theme for the day. Wade did a good amount of reading. The boys spent the day playing all over the house. I spent the day scrapbooking.

I’m pretty sure that I have mentioned that I am entering the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame contest this year. (For all of you non-scrapbookers, CK is a monthly scrapbooking magazine.) They conduct this contest each year. This year there is a list of ‘assignments’ that you must complete. When you have, you send in color copies for the judging. Unfortunately, the pages that you complete may not be posted *anywhere* on the internet. I have been very busy making pages for the contest….and today I finished. It is an amazing feeling to be done. The hard part is coming, though. I have to ‘assemble’ my entry. I’ve heard that the assembly is almost as much work as doing the pages. By next Monday it will all be over but the judging.

So, now that I am done with my entry, I can get back to posting some fun pages for you all to look at! I finished this one today. A birthday layout for Avery’s fifth birthday and third bug party. LOL!

This one I did to serve double duty. It is for my journaling challenge this week and in response to a contest on two peas in a bucket about why you scrapbook. The arrows are aligned in tracks so they slide out to reveal the journaling. Why do I scrapbook? 1. It’s fun. 2. For me. 3. I can play w/ paper, scissors & glue whenever I want to. 4. To tell my story. 5. I get to make ART everyday.
