A recent project.

First of all…a great big “thanks” to Amanda, who keeps me in line. By the way…don’t ever cross Amanda…her threats are scary! *wink*

On to the project… My friend Robin asked me to make a mini book for her son. She wanted a fun kid’s address book that she could put his friends’ information in. She wanted to have a place to put their phone numbers and parent’s names so that she could easily make playdates or call down the street and tell them to send him home for dinner…you know, that type of thing. I wanted to make it fun. I made a place for all of the usual information and some other not-so-usual information, and included a place for her to put a picture of his friends as well. My other idea was to make it two sided…one for his ‘girl’ friends and his ‘boy’ friends. That way I could use some fun papers for each side instead of trying to make everything neutral. I think it came out pretty cute!

Here is a picture of the two covers. There is no “front” or “back.”

Here is a close-up of the button and elastic closure.

I’ve got another little book I’m working on right now. I hope to be done with it in the next day or so.
